We have a life-changing message to share with the world. It is vital that our children are trained and equipped in the Word and then given an opportunity to walk out the commands of the gospel. In James 1:22, He calls each of us to be doers of the Word, not simply hearers. Mission trips give our students an excellent opportunity to put their faith into action. It is our prayer and strong recommendation that every student who graduates from this school attends a mission trip. Such a trip will impact both student and family, and have great impact for the kingdom of God.

March 6-10, 2012
You don’t want to miss this “Week of Passion”! You’ll be working with Bridgetown Ministries, discovering the streets of our hometown in a new light. Spending both days and nights downtown, you’ll be given a firsthand look into the homeless experience and how we can serve these neighbors. You will be developed as a leader, challenged in ministry, and given opportunity to serve “the least of these”, as Jesus commanded (Matt. 25:40). Even if you feel you’ve “been there - done that”, pray about coming. The experiences will be fresh and the chance to be the love of Jesus – priceless.
Available to LCS 9th -12th grade students.

Get ready to travel 5 miles over the border! But this trip isn’t about great tacos. You’ll come face to face with the reality of poverty right next door. Working alongside trusted missionaries, you will be interacting with and touching the lives of entire families. Through orphanages and feeding kitchens, building projects for the poor, and various ministry venues, you will get to reach out with the love of Jesus Christ in tangible ways. This week will be filled with eye opening and heart changing encounters. Don’t expect to come home the same!

This is your chance to touch an entire community! You are invited to travel to a small, rural town nestled in the southwest mountains of Kenya. You and your team will have one mission: community blessing. You’ll get to work alongside local church members in their effort to turn their community to Christ. Days will be filled with painting projects and other service opportunities, all the while looking for conversations and moments to turn eyes to Jesus. And it wouldn’t be a trip to Africa without a day on the safari and haggling in the market. Get ready for a rich cultural experience that will open your eyes – and your heart – to the beautiful people in God’s world.
