Tammy Nichol

Tammy Nichol has lived in Oregon most of her life.  She was born in Japan, due to her father being in the Navy and stationed in Iwakuni.  They moved back to the states when she was two years old.  She graduated from Beaverton High School, then attended Basic Training for the Army at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina.  The next summer, she attended officer training at Ft. Lewis, Washington.   She served in the Army Reserve for twelve years while attending college at the University of Oregon and beginning a teaching career with the Tigard-Tualatin School District.  She has been married to Dan Nichol for 23 years.  They have a daughter and son- in- law, Danielle and Lee, who both attend the University of Oregon.  They also have a son, Kevin, who is a senior at LCS this year.  We can’t leave out their cute dog, Tuxedo.  Tammy began teaching at Life in 1999, when her son began kindergarten, and her daughter was in 3rd grade.  She wanted her children to attend a Christian school.  This is her 13th year at Life Christian, where she enjoys teaching 4th grade!  Tammy also enjoys visits to the beach, reading, walking and attending services at Solid Rock and Life churches.
